George Galsworthy Palmer (1913 - 1972)
Painter and teacher born in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire a nephew of the writer John Galsworthy. He attended the Royal College of Art in the early 1930's where his teachers would have included Edward Bawden and William Rothenstein. His genre interiors paintings paid homage to both Stanley Spencer and James Bateman. Palmer was Head of Wycombe School of Art but as yet nothing is known of his exhibiting career.
